More Memory & History

In 1995 an employee at the Willard Asylum for the Insane in upstate New York discovered a stache of suitcases in attic. When patients arrived at the Asylum they brought with them all their worldly possessions and these suitcases were all that remained of those individuals that spent the rest of their lives in the Asylum. Like individuals time capsules they detail the lives of people who disappeared behind the locked doors of the Asylum and have been photographed by Jon Crispin as a testament to those patients. You can see the whole story here
