These wonderful sculptures are from"It's Alive Project."

Many moons ago when I was in art school I knew a young artist named Jimmy Shack. He did sculptures that were similar, taking one popular object, casting it and then reproducing it, like Andy Warhol or Toronto-based General Idea in all sorts of interesting ways. I loved them and always thought they were not only beautiful and creative but at the time he didn't consider the sculptures his primary work, but instead focused on huge canvases that looked like the paintings of a child which were never as entertaining and as fun as his sculptures. These sculptures remind me of his irreverent work, which was always fun and entertaining.
