Yo-Yo Weather

Yesterday even though it was a cold day Mr.T and I made our way to Kensington in the morning to pick up our dry goods and veggies for the week. Mr.T then made his way over to the local school to pick up some free compost that is offered year by our local councillor to celebrate Environmental Day. It took two trips with a trolley filling up a container with compost to cover most of the garden, but it is great to add fresh compost to the garden. Throughout the summer we continue to compost our kitchen waste in one small section of one of our raised garden beds, but it helps to get a head start on gardening with some free compost.

We then decided to head down to Lee Valley to pick up some more netting for the garden. We used some last year on the south raised bed and needed more for the north raised bed. After dropping our purchases off at home we walked west and north to Fiesta Gardens. On the way we walked by Apiecalypse, so of course I had to indulge in one of their yummy donuts. I opted for a strawberry basil donut that was really delicious. We walked north on Christie picking up some river rocks for a drainage trench in the garden from Fiesta Gardens. Walking home the temperature began to drop, so much we saw snow flurries.

Not wanting to head out again we opted for delivery for dinner. Mr.T was craving Indian but after calling our favourite Take Away, Gau we found their phone unresponsive which was a little disappointing. So we opted instead for Banjara on Bloor Street. The food took an hour to arrive but was delicious satisfying our craving for Indian food on a cold night.
