A Lovely Friday

Yesterday we had the nicest day we have had for a couple of weeks. Mr.T had the day off from work, so after yoga in the morning we walked back home stopping at Winner's where I found a new pair of shoes. My old booties were wearing down on the heels on the outside causing me pain in my toes. We then made our way along College stopping for a nice light lunch at the Free Times Cafe. They have their summer patio out and we were able to enjoy sitting outside soaking up some much needed vitamin D. I had their hummus platter which consisted of a small plate of hummus studded with chopped up grilled veggies and Mr.T their vegetarian platter which had a selection of veggie pulses and rice. Everything was really yummy and the perfect meal for a bright, sunny day.

We then made our way to Chinatown to pick up some food stuffs from our favourite Chinese grocer before walking back through Kensington. In the market our favourite veggie store had their plants out for summer planting so we picked up some sweet peppers, eggplant and tomatoes that we could plant in the garden. Everything went into the north garden because it gets more sun. We also added some marigolds between the tomatoes to try and control any bugs eager to munch our plants.

Later we walked up to Bloor Street to a local Korean place, Arisu for dinner. I had an unagi hot pot, that was really good, while Mr.T had beef udon. While hot food on a hot day was probably not the best, it was what we were craving for dinner.
