A Sunday Drive

One of the beautiful rock fountains at Humber Nurseries

This morning Mr.D invited Mr.T and I out for a drive to the Outdoor Exhibition held out by the airport in the International Centre. The place is a huge collection of exhibition halls surrounded by endless miles of parking lots. While the place is big, the Outdoor show was actually really small, it didn't even fill half of one of the exhibition halls. Mr.D and Mr.Z are looking to rebuild their deck in the backyard and were hoping to find a couple of guys for quotes, but in the end we were all a little disappointed at how little was actually on display.

Because we were out in the west end of the city Mr.D suggested we head over to the Humber Nurseries to see what they had available. Although it is still early in the season, the weather has been really nice and it encouraged not only us but lots more people to head out there to check out what they could begin planting. Mr.T bought a few hardy herbs and some veggies we can't usually find downtown. We will keep them warm in the mudroom until we are sure we can plant them all in the next couple of weeks.

After Mr.D and Mr.Z dropped us off at home, Mr.T picked up some falafels for dinner, because I really didn't feel like cooking and we settled in for a quiet night at home. It was nice to get out for a drive on such a beautiful day and to catch up with friend.
