A Rainy Month

This month like last month has consisted of lots of rain. It is easier to count the few days of sun we have had rather than the many days of rain. For every sunny day it seems we have three or four rainy days. I guess this is the new normal with climate change for the areas around the Great Lakes, more summery, Florida-like rain showers that are intense followed by really hot, humid days. In our garden this has meant uneven growth for a lot of our veggies. Our cherry tomatoes and all our greens seem to love all the rain, while our regular tomatoes and strawberries have not been able to deal with it, underproducing in size and quantity of fruit.
