A Fair Day

Yesterday after taking the train from London to Toronto, Mr.T and I headed north on Spadina to St.Andrew Street for our favourite Friday night treat, vegan Vietnamese at Saigon Lotus. After days of really unhealthy food in London, save for one really yummy meal at Zen Gardens on Dundas Street at Waterloo, it was nice to have a healthy meal.

After a good night sleep in my own bed, Mr.T and I made our way to Kensington Market to pick up some dry goods, including lots of dark chocolates and nuts, as snack food for me in London. After dropping everything off at home we then caught the Bathurst streetcar for a morning wandering around the CNE. Entering through the Princess Gate it was nice to see that the long street which was usually ignored as some kind of afterthought was filled with a diverse selection of food trucks, making for more interesting food choices. We explored the midway and a couple of the buildings before opting for some clams & chips, my favourite fair food, and a turkey leg for Mr.T. After exploring the fair we decided to walk back home to get some exercise and to work off some of the fair food.
